Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Looking For Bloggers To Help Out With RetroGaming

Post by racketboy »

My original goal was to keep the RetroGaming section as just my own project. However, the amount of my free time descreases and my ambitions for the site increases, I just haven't been able to keep up with everything I would like.

So I am looking for people that are interested in helping out with posting RetroGaming news and commentary. My biggest need is for one or more people that are willing to write short posts about new old-school game releases, announcements, and such. Since most gaming sites, including my own, are blocked at my work (where I'm at during the day), I'm not able to post these as often and as timely as I would like by myself.

I am also accepting game reviews -- either of old games or new titles that are old-school. Currently, you can submit these reviews in the "Game Reviews" section of the forum and I will post the best ones on the RetroGaming blog. Any forum member has a shot at these.

The main reason I would like to hand off some of these duties is so I can continue to write the larger articles on a consistent basis in addition to enhancing the site itself with many of the plans I have in mind. Right now I feel like the growth of the site is limited by my commitment to keeping the blog posts coming regularly.

On a side note, I'm also up for people helping out with RoomPlay. If you would like to write about topics such as game room decoration, game collecting and storage, special game controllers, home theater equipment, and such, let me know, and you can I set you up as well.

There is now commitment needed for writers. You can post as much or as little as you would like. I will just do my best to keep them spread out evenly.

Let me know by email (preferred) or PM if you are interested. General questions can be posted here as well.
My email is myname @ thisdomain

I'd like to, but I have zero experience in blogging, and I'd only be offering a post every week, if that.

It doesn't take that much. Especially for news-related stuff.
I sucked when I started, but the more you do it, the better you get.
And a post a week is very welcome -- especially if we can get more than one person helping.

Well if you want me to, I'm in. But I may start ranting about some seriously obscure, boring details. Oh, and I can't be held responsible for covering topics you may have covered years ago.

rants are always welcome :)
And a little review of previous topic with a different perspective are nice as well. :)

I just sent you a Blogger invite...

Anybody else interested? The more the merrier!

Did you get signed up yet?
You just need a Blogger ID -- which is basically like any other website.
And as for the blogging part. You just put in a subject and message just like on a forum.
I can always add on a picture or whatever for you.

If you have specific questions, just let me know.

I did. I just don't see any way to actually add the articles to your site.

I accepted it three times now. I see nothing regarding your blog in my account here. Just the blog it made for me. I give up for now. This is silly. I'm just used to HTML.
