NBA Playoffs thread
Since I noticed the NHL Playoff thread I decided to make one for the NBA since they are going on as well. My Bulls had a tough loss at home today against the Cavaliers and now they are down 3-1 in the series.
I'm not upset about it because I didn't expect to win the series, but I wanted it to be competitive. I'm just thankful that the Bulls made the playoffs. It gives players like Rose, Noah, and Taj more playoff experience. Hopefully the Bulls sign a major free agent this summer so we can be an eastern conference contender for many years to come. I have been really impressed with Rose and Noah's play during this series. I really need to buy a Derrick Rose jersey because I absolutely love watching this kid play.

As an Akron Ohio resident and Cavs fan who had season tickets before using that money to buy a house... I am so glad the series is moving back to Cleveland where our fans only chant "Noah Sucks!" disrespecting him instead of the whole city (and the hardworking folks in it) like Bulls fans who chanted "Cleveland Sucks!"
I have no problem calling out players or teams, but comeon calling out a whole city just because some kid thought he was too cool for it...

As for the playoffs, I give the Bulls a lot of credit - they are better than I thought. I know that most of the regular season games between them and the Cavs were closes, I am impressed by all games except today's one. You are right if they get another scorer to go with Rose, the Bulls could be a future contender.
As much as they annoy me, the Celtics are looking better in the post season than the regular season. In the West the team that scares me as a Cavs fan the most is Denver, followed closely by the Lakers.

I'm rooting for the Thunder. It's an interesting, young, overachieving team.
But really, I want anyone but the Spurs or Lakers to win it all. This has been my hope for every NBA playoffs of the last decade.
Come to think about it, the only time this wasn't the case was in 2006. I really hated that incarnation of the Miami Heat, since it had a bunch of players that I intensely disliked on a personal level: Jason Williams, Antoine Walker, Alonzo Mourning. I'd have taken the Spurs or the Lakers over that team.

I'm a big fan of the Blazers, glad they were able to tie the series with the Suns, but every time they play I'm terrified another one of them is going to suffer a freak injury

Yeah, Noah is an idiot for saying that about the city of Cleveland. He is just a young kid speaking his mind. He shouldn't have said it, but what are you going to do. I still love the kid though. Guy plays with a lot of heart and passion. I found it quite humorous that Charles Barkley said Noah was one of his favorite players after he said that though.

Don't worry noiseredux, You guys will finish Miami in game 5 and set up a date with Cleveland. that will be a good series to watch.
Jmenglan, I need to give your Blazers some credit. When Roy got injured I thought it was an easy sweep for the Suns. Now Roy is back and the series is tied 2-2. Portland is definitely putting up a fight.

Re: NBA Playoffs thread
I was (seems to be a trend for my favorite teams to bow out early) rooting for the Charlotte Bobcats. It's very hard to explain the entire situation with the love/hate relationship the city has with pro basketball now (especially the Bobcats). The city really hasn't gotten over the Hornets and George Shin. I've been a fan since they've started and been to games that only had a little over 9,000 people so it was really cool to see people FINALLY starting to warm up to the Cats. I went to both home games and it was almost indescribable. Both sold out, crowd was having a great time, loud, and great basketball (up until the last few minutes of the 4th). The games were big parties and I feel like the city is close to closing the book on the Hornets and are willing to include the Bobcats with the Panthers with their love.
