I still think Nintendo and others deserve money when they put out great titles, but the Wii is definitely going to be a system of hundreds of just plain good titles. Good titles aren't worth $50, but should be experienced regardless. That's where a chip like this comes in.
And yeah, once VC support is added, I'm sold. I just don't think the majority of Nintendo's prices on there are fair.

Today? I really can't understand how it's difficult to find a Wii. Kids all over my hick town have them, and all we have is a walmart for games. Nothing else. Wii's should be in supply everywhere....neohx_7 wrote:Umm who cares... Someone please tell me when I can just walk into a store at night after work and school and actually buy a Wii. k thx
There is still not a regular supply of Wiis in my area. I'm sure I could get one if I tried stalking Gamestop on the day they get their shipments, but I don't care that much yet.
And these Wii chips won't let you run Wii homebrew. They only let you run backups. Though I understand you can run GC homebrew.

If nintendo had been smart and done $1 8-bit, $2 16-bit and $3 64 Bit, I'd have been getting a massive collection of legit titles by now. As it is... $5 for Urban Champion on NES I think they kind of deserve this.4ppleseed wrote:And here's the review...

Itunes sells a song for $1, I gaurantee that any major record label song cost 100 times as much to record and market as Urban Champion ever cost Nintendo to develop.
No DS or Wii in Chicago
In Chicago most of the city is out of Wii and DS Lite. I guess a bunch were supposed to arrive everywhere yesterday though.Mozgus wrote:Today? I see no metaphorical or literal pistol in this situation.SnowKitty wrote:lol nintendo got pwnt
exactly my problem around here. I could get one if I stalked for one, but I prefer to get one when they are plentiful like the gamecubes, that way if I have a problem with one, I can easily go and replace it.Perseid wrote:There is still not a regular supply of Wiis in my area. But they aren't forcing you to buy urban champion or soccer. Don't buy those games and they will get the message. If you only buy the cult classics, like if they sell Chronotrigger or Earthbound for the standard 8 bucks, nintendo will eventually get the message. Isn't there a similar situation like this on XBL? I doubt people want to pay what, 8 bucks for the original Contra (which is utter trash compared to the NES Version imo). But I definately see people wanting to pay that for DOOM or Street Fighter 2 (bug free one tho...).walrus12 wrote:If nintendo had been smart and done $1 8-bit, $2 16-bit and $3 64 Bit, I'd have been getting a massive collection of legit titles by now. Also, comparing this to iTunes isn't necesarily fair, especially since the creation of most songs really isn't that expensive. Is it as expensive as making Urban Champion, no, but that's because of the time differences and because of the simplicity of UC while an album is usually more complex. Now comparing it to a classical CD from the 80s, something which I would think wouldn't be all that expensive to make, may be cheaper to make the CDs than the Cartridges with the expensive chips, etc. Plus, iTunes honestly gets the songs dirt cheap considering the gigantic amounts of songs they buy the rights for, so a dollar is prolly like 98 cents gain for them at first.
