I am looking for a decent flying game or a game with an exceptional fight engine in it, i don't want flight sim it self because it runs very slow on my machine and just seems really dated, i want something that has a good amount of realism such as you can't fly directly up without ever staling... and a wide selection of planes(mostly jets i prefer, and i hate helicopters).
The game needs to be fairly new and run on win7 but the most important part is that its fun and has some kind of seanary to fly over(if not into ^.^), also being able to land/take off manually would be awesome.

I think since since the source was released for Falcon 4.0 people have since transformed the game, you could look into that?

Try the Xplane demo. If that fits your fancy, the full game will fill your life with flight sim goodness for years.

Ive lost many a day flying in Xplane. We use to goof off in the demo, after I added a jet powered sherman tank, to see who could get it to go the farthest.

The only way to go is Flight Simulator or X-Plane. If you have trouble running FS 10 I'd recommend you try 9 (2k4) or 8 (2k2). X-Plane has fairly low system requirements so I'd download a demo of 9 to see if you like it.
Older. Not wiser.

I disagree. There's also Flaming Cliffs 2.0RyaNtheSlayA wrote:The only way to go is Flight Simulator or X-Plane.

It has obtrusive DRM but don't let that prevent you from checking this one out. J T did ask a few months back and I recommended DCS: Black Shark, and this is the fixed-wing equivalent and it's the most advanced game on the market today, and it'll look good on your hardware (which I feel is important to you, since we all like to put our shiny new hardware to use)
As for joysticks I still recommend the Thrustmaster T.16000M

I'll be here if you have further questions.

I just learned about this game. It's expensive and meant to be for hardcore flight enthusiasts. Kind of a specialty product.
It's not something I would buy, but it looks pretty.
