need help with nes ds on my nintendo ds

i can install it fine and the roms play but i can't save my games at all either the save state option or the sram, i save it and when i turn off my ds the next time i turn it on all my progress is gone

The touch screen interface on NESDS is really bad. It may not actually be registering in the software when you touch the save button. Try tapping around a little bit, that's my best recommendation.
