GameCube controller over USB

Post by thetooth »

*should have searched but didn't*

I need to know whats the best GC controller to usb converter for playing games with threw dolphin and most other emulators. Also is it better to just buy a wired 360 controller, both are my fav controller designs so just what ever is most compatible on the software side, so i really need something new enough to work with windows 7 etc.

(i don't own a 360 so would prefer to use GC if the compatibility is alright due to cost of new controller)
Saturn, SNES, NGC, Wii, DSi, GBA, GBA Micro, PSX, PS2 and every emulator ever made :P

I personally use a wired 360 controller. For emulators and Some pc games. For pc games if you are using one the buttons are preset.

Not exactly what you are asking for, but, in addition to wired 360 controllers, a PS3 controller will also work on a PC.

Wal-Marts used to carry combination PS/GC/XBOX usb converters, not sure if they were any good but you may be able to find old stock of them online.
Also, since you essentially want it to be like you have a gamecube using DOLPHIN, obviously using a GC controller would be best. It's like using a Snes controller for a Genny otherwise.

I have one of these and they're pretty good. I'm not sure if they support vibration. (I always disable vibration) I'll see if I can find an online store for you guys.

If you just want GameCube over USB, here you go.
