Which EUR Saturn releases are worth picking up?

Post by jimmy2x2x »

Which ones are worth picking up over the Jap/US versions for a non Japanese speaker?

Any EUR exlcusives worth getting too would be appreciated.

So far Ive found this one:

Keio Flying Squadron 2 (which apparently didnt get a US port)

Thanks

Swagman, Atlantis: The Lost Tales, 3D Lemmings and Z are Pal or Pal/JP release only for the Saturn but it is a lot cheaper to get the PS1 versions or other versions which were released in the US.

I read that Shinobi Legions has better music in the Pal version.

3D Lemmings is optimised for PAL (50) so it'll be buggy on NTSC.

I'd say you have the best already.

There's a rugby game and others.

Satakore.com is a data base of all Saturn games, check there for a complete list.

Deep Fear only came out in Europe and Japan and is well worth a go imo if you like Survival Horrors. If you can track down the PAL version, it's well worth it. However it's pretty rare and can go for high prices, so you may wish to opt for the cheaper Japan version (I may be wrong in thinking this, but I believe the Japan version still features English subtitles).

I can reccomend Keio Flying Squadron 2 if you can pick a copy up, it's a really fun little 2d platformer with some really gorgeous graphics.

Scud is but the other two you listed are not. Astal in jp and Center Ring Boxing in all three it was called King of Boxing jp and Victory Boxing eur. I thought there would be a lot of sports titles too but most just had different names. I did find a list of US exclusives though which had 7 sports titles.

I knew for sure about Scud. Thought the other 2 were...I stand corrected :)

Another I think...Iron Storm

And I agree I wish there were more data base sites!
