Top 9 Unlicensed NES Games

Post by J T »

I enjoyed this list, even though Tengen ranks through most of it.

I enjoyed a lot of these, though I couldn't think of many other examples of unlicensed NES games.

There were a ton of other Unlicensed NES games. Camerica released about 15 (Big Nose the Caveman, Bee 52), Wisdom Tree had a few, Color Dreams had several.

Funny I had both Skull & Crossbones and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom as a kid... but that article lost all credibility when they said "It's not Kid Icarus great, but it is probably in my top 20 overall NES games." because anyone who thinks Kid Icarus was a good game is either on crack... or was unlucky enough that they only had that game and were forced into thinking it was good. :P

Funny, I don't remember smoking crack as a kid, but I guess you wouldn't remember that kind of thing if you did it when you were like 8 or 9 years old.

I love Kid Icarus and still do. I think it brilliantly merged platformers with Galaga.

I have bee 52 for nes, but no nes to play it in.
It was in a game store, under a pile of mario bros games, and I figured that becasue it was in a fancy silver cartridge that it was like, the rarest thing in the world. Turned out I was wrong :(

Anyway, why didn't they just find one more game and make it an obligatory top ten?
