my new game room baby!

Post by 8bit »

Today I picked up a Namco Mrs Pacman/Galaga cocktail arcade! I can't beleive my luck! Ive always wanted one and today I saw this on craigslist while i was at work for $350. I couldn't wait so I called the guy and made a deal for $275 within 5 mins. 4 hours later I get home from work and the guy was waiting at my place to deliver! The unit is damn near new.

Gizmodo has an article about the unit which lists the price at $3600 new! Gizmodo Article

Anyway here is my first iPhone pic of it at my place. More to come soon!

Wow, I am so jealous. i've been scouring my local Craigslist and Ebay sellers within a few hundred miles for a classic cocktail for the past six months.... nothing. The one good lead I had was a Craigslist ad for an old, beat up Galaga cocktail for $200. I decided to wait a day before calling so I could line up a truck and trailer or van from work to transport it with, but then it snowed like crazy for a few days straight, and the trucks had plows put on and were unavailable, and it was too far to drive the van in those conditions.... the perfect storm conspired against me, and someone else snagged it. Sorry for rambling, but I really want one of those.

Can you take a pick without the light on top of it? I've been thinking of picking up a Tabletop Arcade Cabinet to replace the coffee table we already have.
