I recently bought a low serial number Japanese Neo Geo AES console. I also bought this converter:
http://www.neostore.com/Super-MVS-Conve ... p/1178.htm
and this bootleg cart:
http://www.jammaboards.com/store/111-in ... d_305.html
When I try to play a game on the bootleg cart, the system will randomly reset back to the title screen. This usually happens after a few seconds and it happens constantly. I don't have any other MVS carts to test but my two official AES carts work perfectly fine. I've searched around for people with similar problems and found some but no one mentioned a solution.

Do you have unibios?
It will not work with Unibios
It will work perfect on a MVS 1 slot however

I'm using a standard non-modded AES now but I do plan on having the unibios added later. Are you 100% certain that it doesn't work with unibios? If so, even if it worked properly I should return it.

sort of on topic..
Why the hell are these MVS convertors so expensive? Is it more than just a pin swap?

It's all about supply and demand. They cost that much because Neo Geo enthusiasts are willing to pay that much.

Well, I should have the kind of power supply that doesn't require the use of that adapter, but who knows.
I did buy my first official MVS cart yesterday so I will be sure to test that out with my converter. If it doesn't work, I will buy the special power adapter.

it's more about low production=higher cost. I mean, how many AES's are out there and furthermore how many are looking for said adapter? It's sort of like making a turbo kit for a Lamborghini vs. a Honda Civic, less buyers=more cost per unit.samsonlonghair wrote:It's all about supply and demand. Re: Neo Geo 111 in 1 Multigame bootleg help needed
I used to use a 48-1 on my Home System with Unibios 2.2 and a convertor until I got a CMVS. There are just some games that won't work with that setup which is why I moved to CMVS. I still have my Home System but haven't tried the 111-1 in it.

Did you ever get this game to work/was it any good?
