Pokemon Heartgold and soulsilver interview

Post by tahoe2 »

Not really news, since everyone knew this game was coming out. But this was an interesting interview about why Game Freak released all these games and their thinking behind it.

Very interesting!

I was only able to skim through the interview (since I leave for work in a few minutes) but I'll read through the whole thing properly later...

It's funny how the creators thought of Pokemon Gold and Silver as the "ultimate" Pokemon games and even at one point considered them as the last Pokemon games they would make. Well, they certainly did have that "epic final game" feel to them, especially at the end when you have to fight Red.

Now that they have heart gold, i think that NOW it is the ultimate finish to pokemon. Anything after this will be lame. Diamond and pearl were just bad, and there aren't any more possible remakes.
