So. i think the internal rom space has stopped working. I had about 4 games on it at one stage and then they all disapared. now when ever i attempt to flash a game to it the erase process takes less then a second and then it writes at the rate of 1mbps(normally about 0.2mbps at best). of course after this it pauses to verify the write. however when i exit to NOR flash section there is no rom and after resetting the device there is still nothing.
I've tried all the usual to the SD card a few times but just can't get anything to write or even format it. I fond a download to a really old header for the EZ3 that has similar hardware and figgered i'd just make a violent formatter to make sure the chip is not dead but its kinda hard with those headers and near no docs at all.
and yes i've posted on there official forum but it has not been updated since 2008 so don't think i'll get an answer there :/

okay, slow down and help us help you... you left out a very important detail. Are you talking about a GBA flash card? DS flash card? What?
Re: EZ-Flash IV Flashing issues
Card is in topic and while there are different types i did not state so because i am using the normal version, not the lite or compact.noiseredux wrote:okay, slow down and help us help you... you left out a very important detail. Are you talking about a GBA flash card? DS flash card? What?

The forum is still active. It's not as active as the EZ Flash V forum but it's not dead.thetooth wrote: and yes i've posted on there official forum but it has not been updated since 2008 so don't think i'll get an answer there :/

I see 3 posts today.
Have you tried a different mini-SD card?
Re: EZ-Flash IV Flashing issues
I agreee that trying a different SD card might help you find out the source of the problem.
If you don't have another, you could try formatting your Mini-SD card using an SD formatting program and see if it fixes the file system on it:
http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/
Here's a couple of other SD formatt/repair utils I've had good luck with:
http://www3.telus.net/anapan8/sdformat.zip
You might also try re-flashing the firmware on your EZ4 Card by copying ezfla_up.bin to the root of your MiniSD card (using standard windows copy, not the EZ4 client) and holding R while booting your GBA/DS (if using a DS remove the passme device):

Here's the latest firmware I could find with a carbon-fiber skin applied (I couldn't stand the starwars theme):
