the Pellican Retro Pad seems like the next best thing. It's much cheaper. Pellican is a pretty good brand. And it's very similar, although it has a Genesis style D-Pad rather than a SNES style D-Pad... anyway sevin0sevin has one on his trade list I believe. And I've also seen them for sale, um.. I think on toysnjoys.com?

For just sixteen dollars you can plug a real SNES controller into your gamecube controller port.

If you're not a purist, a PS2 adaptor, whole buncha 3rd party PS1 and PS2 controllers.
