a) No
b) No
c) Not if you have a modded Saturn

Modchips are great things, they'll solve all of your problems.

I'm pretty sure that even with a modchip you cannot play import games. If you want to play burned import games, there is a tool that will patch the Saturn disc image to any region you want. More info here.

Oh shoot, probably should have mentioned that. It lets you play any burned games, but you'll need an Action Replay 4 in 1 for legit imports.

Thanks for the correction.

Unfortunately, a Saturn mod chip will not make it region free.

I don't feel like these are simple YES or NO question, more should be explained.

All the mod chip will let you do is play burned games on your console that are the same region as your console. But, this doesn't mean you can't play imports (although the chip doesn't directly allow you to play them).

First off, if you're playing a burned game, you can change the country code so it'll boot on your system. It's SUPER easy, and takes literally 5 seconds. More over, you can take your original imports, rip them, change the country code, and than play burned copies of them. This is a good idea because you'll be protecting your originals.

Don't wanna play burned copies of your original imports? OK, you can hard mod you system to change the region back and forth via a switch. Or, you can get a cart that'll allow you to boot imports (kinda like a soft mod) such as a GameShark or a Pro Action Replay.

And in regards to your C question.... NO!!! Stick with the console, emulators are the devil. Who would in their right mind get rid of an actual console to go with an emulator?

agree NO FOR EMULATION while its cheap it does not give you the full experience of a saturn or any console for that matter. Get a real saturn with model 2 controllers with SVIDEO cables and your set.
PSN- jacktsang05
WiiU- jacktsang05
