new to programming SNES carts

hi, i wanted to make a few games like Star Fox 2 among others. i'm about to buy PRG-056 True-USB PRO GQ-4X Willem Programmer and wanted to know where do i get the eproms and how do i know which ones to get?

edit: so i just noticed that that same site sells eproms :oops: but i still don't understand what the numbers mean or which ones to get

Welcome to the forum, you might want to some time to introduce yourself here.

Regarding which eproms to buy it depends on which games you are looking to program.
Also, please enter your Location in the user control panel. You can do that here. We can then advise you of the best place to buy eproms in your area.

well, there is no list but several come to mind...
Star Fox 2, Star Ocean, Worms, Mega lo Mania, Secret of Mana 2
to name a few

Star Fox 2 requires a 27C801
Star Ocean requires a 27C322
Secret of Mana 2 requires four 27C801 and one 74LS139

Don't know about the others. Sorry.

ok thanks, how about donor carts? i know Star Fox 2 - Stunt Race FX
couldn't figure out Secret of Mana 2 or Star Ocean.
i think i know what i can use for the other 2 but wouldn't help without the eproms

Personally I'm using a JP Star Ocean and Seiken Densetsu 3 for my dejaps and the usual Stunt Race FX for Starfox 2.

and those will fit and work in a NTSC cartridge, or American cart and console?

I had Ziggy do all my repros in original SFC carts I purchased of the game (to satisfy my own ethical needs). SFC carts can be played in a US SNES once you remove the two tabs from inside the cart slot; this can be done easily with a pair of pliers. You can swap out the PCB from an SFC shell into a US shell, but it's unnecessary.
