Racketboy Amateur Hour Talent Show Thread

Post by J T »

I know that there are a lot of talented people on this board. I thought it would be fun if we had a thread where you could show off some of your creative exploits: post artwork, photos, links to music, videos, etc.

To start us off, here's a link where you can listen to some of the music I have created:

And here is some of my artwork:
Impressions of Asia (watercolor, photo-negative)

Battle Angel Alita (charcoal recreation)

Battle Angel Alita (pencil recreation)

Roy Hargrove (pencil sketch)

Not Julia Roberts (ink sketch)

I'm not a very creative person so I don't have much to add to this thread...but I like your artwork, especially the Impressions of Asia. Very cool stuff.

Maybe once i get the time in the next couple weeks me and my drummer buddy will record some stuff. We don't have a bassist or a 2nd guitar player so it should be interesting how that turns out.

Dang I have to find a place to upload my music from my high school days. Any suggestions on a site that doesn't involve a lot of registration and annoyance since I will just be using it for this one time, or can I just upload it from my computer?

I can beat Contra on co-op controlling both players with my feet while simultaneously playing the SMB melody on saxophone and the bass part on bass guitar and feeding my cat live mice that I get from wrestling an army of snakes that don't like the SMB theme very much. All without the Konami Kode.

Actually, I can't, but don't tell anyone.

esnips is the easiest thing I found. I had to register, but it was quick, free, and easy to use, even if a little cluttery.

Cool, I just created an account and folder, although it won't let me upload anything. I activated the account by email and it takes me to the page where I can select the folder I want to upload stuff to, but then it won't let me proceed to step 2. There's no GO or NEXT button so far as I can see. I will try again later. Thanks for the tip.

I made a collage for a Smegma VHS once. It turns out that one of the central images in the collage is from some famous collage by who i presume is a french dude.

I mess around with a Korg MS-10 when I am bored.

Cool stuff man! I wish I had the time to learn how to make these portable console things. I love tinkering with electronics. I've always wanted to learn how to make some cool mods like that or to create my own Mame arcade cab.
