Audio issues while burning .BIN/.CUE files

Post by backwardshole »

Why is it that when I burn DC games .BIN/.CUE files to a disc, when I pop the game in my dreamcast, the music sounds like "white noise/glitch", this has happened so far to 2 games that I've burned.

Some CD recorders expect audio data in big-endian format while others expect it in little-endian format. I burn my bin/cues with CDRDAO, and just pass the --swap flag when I get an image that's all noise. Your cd burning software should have a similar option somewhere.

Can anyone assist me, maybe? I am not too familiar with this "endian" thing.

He means the burning settings. If you are using Alcohol 120%, you click image burning wizard, select your Cue sheet. Click next. Where it says Write Speed set it to 4x or lower if you can. Then where it says Write Method make sure this reads RAW DAO. Click Start.

In future please search the website before making threads like this. This is a common problem and has been documented many times.
