Not really an RPG per say but a huge expansive scenery "What's over there" exploring type game.

Re: RPG recommendations
I would recommend these as well but on PS2 I would also add Xenosaga, Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy and Persona 3,4!MasonB15 wrote:I'll list a few of my favorites for those systems

Gamecube: Baten Kaitos Wings of the Lost Ocean and Skies of Arcadia Legends
PS2: the .hack GU Trilogy is worth it for the story alone; Final Fantasy X; Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2; Persona 3 & 4; Dark Cloud 2; Art Tonelico; Disgaea 1 or 2.
PS1: Wild ARMS 2, Grandia, Legend of Mana, Lunar 1 & 2, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy Tactics.

Re: RPG recommendations
For Playstation I'll recommend:
Azure Dreams
Final Fantasy VII
I really haven't played enough PSone RPG's considering it was the first console I ever owned.
I remember a really fun digimon RPG, but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me (They made so many digimon games for PSone..)
I'll second Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door for gamecube.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

Re: RPG recommendations
PS1 - Alundra
Genny - Beyond Oasis
Games in the same vein as Zelda. Alundra has quite a few puzzles, many were quite tough.

Re: RPG recommendations
Wow, Alundra. I haven't talked about that in a while. I never played it... my little brother did and I would watch from time to time. It looked amazing. It had all the elements you could hope for. It was like an advanced Beyond Oasis/Zelda came as mentioned but had a really cool story and visuals. I think I may have to look it up and play if I can...
