I know most of yall wont care, but for those of us who burn alot of media this is important information. And hopefully it means a price drop on the CDRs - they are sitting at .76 per for printable at retail. Per Tapeonline:

Taiyo Yuden is Now JVC

With its purchase of JVC, Taiyo Yuden is changing its name to JVC Advanced Media. While the name and part numbers will change, the product will remain exactly the same.
Quality Stays the Same

All Taiyo Yuden DVD and CD media will still be manufactured in Japan. The facilities, materials, and methods will remain in use. The name on the packaging will change, but the product will stay the same.
A Gradual Transition

Starting with WaterShield CD and DVD media, the entire Taiyo Yuden line will slowly switch over to the new JVC packaging and model numbers. This will most likely take a few months, but you may begin receiving some JVC product now. We've created a detailed breakdown of new part numbers so you can familiarize yourself with the changes.
Bigger Name, More Product

With the purchase of the JVC Media Division, Taiyo Yuden will gain greater name recognition and the ability to bring more affordable dual layer and Blu-ray disc media to market.

Nice. It's been hard to find TY media at retail, as they're never branded TY. If I can pick up some JVC media and be assured it's TY I'll be pleased.
