Help Identifying Sega CD RAM Cart Battery
Hello! I was wondering if you fine folks could help me with replacing the battery in my Sega CD RAM Cartridge. It is a different battery than a normal Genesis cart as it is a bit bigger. Additionally, could you point me to where I can find one of these batteries? Thanks in advance.

Does the battery have a code on it? EG CR2032 or SR44.
The 2 letters at the beginning denotes what kind of battery it is, the digits denote what length and height the battery is. If there is no digits then you can usually work out what kind of battery it is given the battery type (silver oxide or lithium/manganese dioxide to name the two most common coin cells).

pretty sure it's a lithium manganese battery, you may be able to find it on www.digikey.com if you type the model number in their search. (for example, the dreamcast uses an ML2020 lithium-manganese battery http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... me=P046-ND)

Re: Help Identifying Sega CD RAM Cart Battery
Battery should be a CR 2450. I am basing this on the battery in mine. I can read the CR 245 part, but the rest is covered by the soldered on tab. After looking at a list of coin sized batteries, it appears that the 2450 is the only one that it could be.
