Seriously, there's no way to remove the scratches without making the whole thing look even worse.

Re: Scratch remover?
It depends on how deep the scratches are.

Re: Scratch remover?
Lotsa sanding, little paint, buffing, and polishing. See what this guy did ...............

Re: Scratch remover?
I'm assuming a skeleton Saturn would have skeleton controllers. If that's the case, painting them would kind of negate the whole point of having skeleton pieces.

Re: Scratch remover?
You can use car polish on a lot of types of plastic, if you started at a rough grit cutting compound to get the scratches out and slowly went to 2000+ grit you could get back a mirror shine. It takes a lot of time or a good variable speed buffer tho. If you were to go the buffer route, you really have to watch out for heat as it'll cloud or melt the plastic in no-time. I tried it on a GBC screen with pretty deep scratches and a large scuff-mark, and was able to get all the scratches out after about 25 minutes, but after going to 1000 grit, I found I needed a finer polish to get the reflection back to mirror-like rather than small circles. Then I found the replacement case at deal-extreme and threw my old case away.

But its a classic with the original factory paint!Scooter wrote:I'm assuming a skeleton Saturn would have skeleton controllers. If that's the case, painting them would kind of negate the whole point of having skeleton pieces.

Well okay then try to polish it out ................
