SNES Box Art Across the Regions
I recently uploaded the latest in my box art series, and I thought y'all might be interested. It's refreshing to see that for once the United States didn't get totally screwed. In fact, it seems like European box art suffered worse, overall. Anyway, here's the latest:

Sometimes I think you gush over the Japanese boxes too much. The Japanese Boxes are often overly elaborate. Batman Returns is the exception though. In that case the Japanese box had a nice simple design.

How awesome!
I have to be honest, with the exception of Super Castlvania IV, I prefer the Japanese box art of all of these games. Shadowrun and Super Metroid's Japanese boxes look amazing.

As far as the art goes; I would tend to agree with this, in respect to most of the European box art that I have seen so far. Although, I find the large boxes with some of the game releases to be pretty aesthetic, even though I don't really hunt and collect boxes unless they make their way into my collection CIB by chance.it seems like European box art suffered worse, overall.

I love the big box version of Super Metroid that came with the full size players guide. Wish I still had that

Awesome mate! I enjoyed the Sega CD/Mega Drive box art ones before so this was bound to please. I have to agree for the most part, exept with the coloured borders on that PAL versions, they never bothered me. Probably because I'm used to them having grown up with those box arts. Oh, and yes the big box Super Metroid is amazing, the huge player's guide makes it more than worth it. My original one is long gone but I managed to replace it a few years back.
