My New N64 End Labels

Post by 8bit »

One of the biggest complaints with collecting N64 games is that there is not end label on them. They had them on the NES, SNES, why not the N64?!!?

So today I decided to remedy that. 2 hours later, the project was complete from start to finish on my 48 games. All I did was download the box art, crop out a the titles and make it fit the MS Office template. Here is what was used exactly.

Avery Address Labels # 48366 from WalMart
Box Art from http://www.thecoverproject.net/
Avery #48366 template for MS Word found on http://www.avery.com/templates

Dude, that is awesome. I'll probably do that to my games if I get the chance.

That looks sweet! I always wished N64 carts had end labels.

Awesome idea, mine just have printed end labels in normal red text, i found that I had to tape them with clear tape or they started to peel after awhile and that bugged me more than not having any at all.

I have always just put my N64 games in alphabetical order and take a guess as to where they are. I usually take 3 or 4 tries to get the game I want.

Wow, I thought that would end up looking like crap to be honest, but damn that looks classy! How do those labels work, are they just on a sheet of paper that you put in your printer?

I've been planning on picking up some Universal Game Cases as a means of remedying the lack of the side label, but I might do this for now, it'll be a bit cheaper/easier.

One question I have though, have you tried taking them off? Does it leave much residue, and is it easy to remove?

Awesome questions! I am glad you brought these up!

1) The labels are on regular printer size sheets with 30 labels on each. I was able to add 30 different images to the sheet before I printed. The .doc template for the labels was found on Avery's website.

2) The come off without fight or sticky residue! They are very easy to apply, reapply, and take off without risk of tearing (so far). As a collector do not fear them ruining the cartridges, and I think these will last for a long long time.

3) The package of labels contained 5 sheets, a total of 150 labels, and only cost $5. Add ink, maybe $0.50 worth in this case and you have a grand total of $5.50 to label up to 150 games. :)
