Just bought Panzar Dragoon Saga...... JPN Version.....

So I couldn't resist the amazing discount that can be had on the JPN version of Panzar Dragoon Azel (Saga in the US). I bought it for only $21 shipped on eBay. Mostly just for bragging rights, to add to my collection and because I know I will never afford the US version.

Has anyone played this version? Any chance you know where to find a walkthrough or FAQ for the playing this version in English? Any help would be awesome!

I'm pretty sure you can't bypass the region lock on that one, so unless you've got a Japanese Saturn you may be out of luck.

If you can't get around the region lockout with an Action Replay or Game Shark, surely you'd be able to do a hard region mod to play it.

Hmmm if you can't use the Action Replay to bypass the lock that would really suck. I was thinking about getting Azel once I got the Replay.

I have a Japanese Saturn.... you can see so in my signature. So playing it isn't going to be the problem.

And I see by your asterisk it's modified... I'm assuming it's not with a mod chip, otherwise you'd just burn the American version of the game. So, I'm assuming you have the system region modified?

I read somewhere that the game will actually boot with the Action replay, but once it has, you need to remove the action replay to continue playing (its the cheat device thats being detected). Not sure about the truth of this.

I almost bought this version. But the language barrier stopped me I just wanted to relax and enjoy the game and when I got stuck was able to find videos of someone playing through to help me to (I cheated alot!) hehe. Its well worth the 100-200 you'd spend on it and I actually made a small profit on my copy (80 bucks) this game so needs to be remade (from the ground up since the original code was lost)

I have the Action Replay 4 in 1 cart. Also, my japanese saturn is a model 1, so disc swapping on it is super easy. I just like having the real game, so I bought the game.



I hope I can find a guide to allow me to play it at least a little.
