actually how about General-purpose Synthetic Machinery Grease ? Ideal for bearings, ball joints, chains, sprockets, O-rings, bushes and other rubber and plastic etc

I think the answer you are looking for is white lithium grease. It is used in the playstation and ps2 lasers at least.
BTW, I have heard if you use regular machine grease, the small amount that you use combined with the heat and dust will turn it to grit really quick.

nice info Zandengoff , i can get White Lithium Grease easy from big chains over here in Aus so its a great outcome.
