GOG.com's Month of Activision

Post by Flak Beard »

Good 'ol Games has partnered up with Activision to release several titles throughout the month of February. So far, both Arcanum and Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers have been released at $5.99 a piece.

I'm looking forward to see what other games they end up offering. :)

Sadly GoG will never get the one game I really want them to rerelease - System Shock 2. Mainly since they would have to recode the engine - it refuses to play on new gpus.

Yes it does. I got it to work on this machine back when it was running Vista (haven't tried with Windows 7) and I run an 8800.

Bugger, I couldnt get it to run on my 9600 even with the 2k7 mod set, but it ran like a champ on my 5700. And everyone I asked said it didnt play nice on new cards and I was sol. Ill have to give this a try again since I would love to play through SS2 in coop.

I'll double check tonight to see how well it runs on Win7.

Edit - Seems like this is a good place to start as well: http://www.strangebedfellows.de/index.p ... 392.0.html Seems to be the main community site for the game, especially for modifications.
