t0yrobo's low key game/media set up UPDATED

Post by t0yrobo »

I've been meaning to update this for a looong time, it's been over a year since I moved. It's been slow going but I'm pretty happy with my setup for now. Unfortunately my DC died and I haven't gotten around to replacing it, that was a sad day.
Building the false wall to mount my tv is easily one of the best DIYs I've ever done. I seriously recommend anyone that's halfway handy with a saw and drill to consider it. A nice bonus is that the kinect performs much better at it's height and there's plenty of play space with it up against the wall.

The equipment:
32' lcd
M-Audio AV30 speakers (not ideal, but way better than tv speakers)
Slim PS2 w/ swapmagic & component cables
Xbox chipped with a X3, 250gb HD, XBMC & component cables
120gb 360 w/ hdmi

Everything else, PS3, Gamecube, & Genesis is in the bedroom. Which is a bit of a mess.

Now this is pretty much the whole reason I wanted to mount my tv :D

Simple, elegant, and has a potentially creepy looking painting over it. Awesome

Thanks. Here's a pic of the painting, and the photo in the bottom right. The painting is by my girlfriend, she's not real happy with it but it does look nice. The picture I got from a seller on Etsy, sadly I can't remember the name, they had some cool stuff.

The photo with the rabbit headed people is creepy in an anthropomorphic taxidermy kind of way.

Those rabbits need humorously misspelled captions.

While small, I like how the collection is all color organized.

So the painting isnt creepy, but gorgeous. The other one though, no comment.

Your girlfriend has real talent. Not like some of us who phone it in...

Nice setup, very clean. With keeping everything black nice low profile on home media center.

To keep all black there is a Sega Sports Edition DC.
