PSTwo Mod & Repair

I have a PSTwo coming probably on Tuesday and want to get a head start on looking at instructions on what to do. So far I know I have to put in a new laser and install the laser fix so that doesn't burn out again. Does anyone know of a good place to find these? Also, it's definite that if a PSTwo doesn't read anything but still works in all other area's that the laser coils burned out right?

are you planning to install a chip, an hd or a swap disc??

Sooo long ago, I solved it. I installed a new laser, mod chip and laser fix to my v12 PSTwo. Everything works perfectly, except when the laser moves it sounds fairly loud. I've read that it's normal since the laser fix is limiting the power to the laser, but I've also read that this is bad and may help the lasers life cycle move along more swiftly. I haven't read or found one bit of evidence to prove this theory, and since my PSTwo is functioning perfectly I'm a bit skeptical.
