Looking for PC-FX controller extension cables

Post by Inazuma »

I hooked up my PC-FX to my 52" TV yesterday and then realized I don't have any controller extension cables for it. I sit about 10 feet away from the TV so the normal controller cord length is horrible. Please, someone help me find extension cables.

How about you just use a longer s-video cable? That's what a Japanese person would do. You're using a Japanese console. When in Rome...

So I know Turbo Duo etc.. uses these

I'm assuming though that they don't use the same ones but what does the end look like? Maybe someone could find another type of cable not designed for it but that works just like the above. That's what I did with my Turbo Duo since they were of pitiful length.

There's always the harvest from another controller option, but that seems a tad cruel

:/ looks like the PC-FX uses a weirdo proprietary connector. Looks kind of like an NES connector that's symmetrical. Not something you could easily do at home. What is it with game companies and non-standard connectors?

I have a ton of consoles and controller extension cables for ALL of them except the PC-FX. Did they never make them for the PC-FX?

I also thought they looked similar to Famicom controller cables and I even tried to connect them but it wouldn't fit -_-

I guess it's possible to get extension cables for the S-video, audio and power cables and pull the console to the middle of the room when I wanna use it but that's pretty shitty. Having someone good with electronics destroy some controllers to make mine longer doesn't sound very good either.

If its workable maybe have console on or in coffee table in front of you. Run extra long video cables to TV. Advantage is you can swap games without leaving couch. Now if I can get the dog to fetch the beer outta fridge.

If it weren't for Dance Dance Revolution and motion control games on the Wii, I could have a coffee table.

It would be nice if wireless electricity was cheap and easily available today. I could put my PC-FX next to the couch and it have it work fine from there.

:D I love ThinkGeek. And hey, the Tauntaun sleeping bag came true, so maybe wireless power is just around the corner.
