Just curious if there are many of us here. I'm a huge iDevice(?) gamer. I would think this platform would be right up a retro gamers alley.
Most of the games are 2D, retro inspired, good graphics, and cheap. I guess the one big gripe would probably be the controls. The usability of the controls can vary greatly from game to game, but I have to say they are maturing and becoming very usable.
The platform just hits a lot of sweet spots with me. Some of the others that aren't mentioned above are portability, bite-sized gaming, and being able to get games on demand.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch Gamers?
I keep debating on if I want one or not...and it always falls back to, I really only use my phone for phone calls, so I end up not making the jump. Only other thing would be GPS which I have in my car. Maybe once a few of you guys review games on here about it I will get into the idea
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

I just got one recently - I fell in love with hook champ.
I was really hoping for a ngpc emulator so I could play card fighters clash or neo geo turf masters on it, but no avail.
Any recommendations?

I haven't touched my DS in ages since I got my iphone. There'sso much more quality games released every week on the iPhone compared to DS. And they update too.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I love my iPhone, its my portable gaming machine of choice these days.

Exactly theres always something better on iPhone. I bought CoD4 for DS, but then I found Modern Combat Sandstorm for iPhone and haven't touched CoD since. Gran Turismo PSP? Not as fun as Real Racing. GTA Chinatown Wars? Gangster: West Coast Hustle pummels it.wakeup wrote:I haven't touched my DS in ages since I got my iphone. Not to mention, the most expensive iPhone game I've seen is $10.00.

I cant stand the none tactical controls and the games that use tilt. I did enjoy the small amount of Mechowars I got to play on a buddies though.

I don't mind tilt, if used well, but I definitely agree with you on tactile controls if that's what you meant by "tactical". I could see myself playing a point 'n click adventure game on an iphone, but that's about it. I need buttons!fastbilly1 wrote:I cant stand the none tactical controls and the games that use tilt.
