Robotech: Invasion or Robotech: Battlecry?
I started watching my Robotech DVD collection again, so now I'm in the mood to play a Robotech game. Which of these two would you recommend over the other?
Most likely it'll be the original Xbox I buy it for, since both titles can be found cheap now.

Battlecry, obviously.
Robotech is only Macross as far as I'm concerned. Invasion is from a completely different show.

Battlecry first but for the price get both ... Invasion is playable online, which of couse is dead now but it had it's moments.
Also, I recommend the GBA version of Battlecry too. It took about 4 hours to beat but a good side scroller shooter ...

Was Robotech ever released in the US as the three original Japanese series?
I honestly never minded the adaptation myself, after all that is what Robotech was to me as a kid. I bought these individual DVDs as they were released, I believe about six years or so back.

Yes, Animeigo released Macross and ADV released Mospeada and Southern Cross. Since this thread reminded me about SC and ADV recently went belly up, I went and grabbed a copy of SC to go with the others I already had.Flak Beard wrote:Was Robotech ever released in the US as the three original Japanese series?

I vote Battle Cry. maybe you guys should go to this thread http://racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 93#p202593 and suggest Robotech Battlecry as a Together Retro title for this year.

Man, I'm really out of the loop. I had no idea ADV wasn't around anymore!
I used to buy quite a few of their titles, but it's been a good four years since I purchased any anime.
