to buy or not to buy...

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

to buy or not to buy...

Post by s1mplehumar »

The drive would be roughly an hour round trip. I already own just about everything here, but I was considering for cherry picking and swapping, etc.

Any thoughts?

Genesis complete w/ controller and the following COMPLETE games for $45.

Star Wars Arcade (32x)
Aladdin
Mortal Kombat
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Desert Strike
Jurassic Park
Mortal Kombat II
Pitfall
Zero Tolerance
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
NBA Jam
Sonic & Knuckles
Street Fighter II
Fifa Soccer 95 (EA)
College Football's National Championship
NHLPA Hockey 93 (EA)

I'd get it. A complete Genesis with those complete games for $45 is a good deal

The thing that kills me is that the initial price was $20! The guys response to my email...

hate to do this to ya, but i had a lady offer me $45 for the set. if you still want it, i'd have to ask for that amount instead of the $20. can't turn down free money. let me know if you're still interested. if you are, we can make the exchange tonight possibly.

what that email says to me...is...

I was a fucking morron for setting my price at 20$...now with all this interest I am going to DOUBLE my price by making up a bullshit story. For that ALONE I would pass just due to the fact I think he is a dickhead.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

Seconded... why would a lady offer him $45 for something he was selling for $20?

My thoughts exactly. I think I have made my decision...just needed that extra push. Thank you, lost_within :)

Better yet, if you really did still want it, I would say

"Well your original price was 20$ if she offered you 45 take the sale, BUT...if she falls thru I will give you 30$"

Thats if you REALLY want it, other wise I would say just hunt around ebay.

I see this kinda crap around me alot...someone will post something for a good price and then after getting a few emails the guy will get back to me and go...hey sorry, but the price just went up. Atleast on ebay you either win or lose.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

I thought $45 was a pretty good deal, I guess no one agrees though
