playing PS23 games off of external HD

'kay. just sitting here at work thinking of video games of course, and had a thought.

Is anyone here playing PS2 games off of an external hard drive? If so, can you tell me how to go about doing so? Do i need a fat or slim? which programs? is there a size limit to the HD that i must stay under. Thanks in advance,

I'm using HDLoader (comes with FreeMcBoot). You need a fat with a network adapter and an IDE hard drive. Pretty much any IDE hard drive will work. I personally have a 250GB drive that works great. Just stay away from Western Digital drives (they're good drives but they won't fit in the network adapter without modification). You can pick up the network adapter at a gamestop for $15 if your gamestop carries them.

Can you imagine what the PS23 will be capable of?! Hundreds of graphics onscreen at once, dudes. Literally, hundreds.

thx for the replies so far. i do have a PS2 fatty with a network adapter, and HDL loaded on my mem card. Looking to get freemcboot loaded for my PS2 with laser issues. i saw gtmtnbikers post about 1TB HD for sale and thought maybe i could run games from it. It looks like i may grab a 500GB HD if i can find a source for games..... dunno if really feel like going thru the whole search and dl thing. * sorry if this is borderline topic*
