"Legit Backups" - hahahhahaahahhah
The Japanese Wii only operates in Japanese so menus and system options etc are all in Japanese, Games will be fine if they're English obviously.

Re: several mod issue help
1. You could try googling around for a tutorial on FreeMCBoot, though I'm fairly sure someone here can help you if you're patient. All I know is that the slim ps2 can't use the hard drive, so I'm pretty sure you're out of luck there, but the fat ps2 should be fine.
2. I'm not sure if it's any different for japanese wiis but you should be able to install the homebrew channel, probably by using the banner bomb method. From there you'll just need to install a USB Loader (USB Loader GX is my personal favorite) and you'll need a compatible HD. I don't know where the list of compatible HDs right now, but it should be fairly easy to find if you just google it. Once you get all of that set up, it's really easy to rip your games to your HD and run them, and if you run into any problems with it, there's plenty of tutorials for any sort of issue, it shouldn't be too hard.

The same way you'd make your "legit" backups my friend!memory wrote:if i knew how to copy the games i rented into a playable version on a disk or image i would.
Do you have any idea hw many people come through here claiming they're playing "legit" Backup copies, get some balls man. No one cares.
Re: several mod issue help
actually i am paying some one $3 a disk to back up my collection, i do appreciate the concern, but you are wrong
Re: several mod issue help
That guy can get in serious trouble for "selling" backups. Backup a few yourself , no-one is gonna bust down your door. Sell them or charge anything at all (heck even do it for others for free) and you're asking for trouble. The Man would love to make an example out of him.memory wrote:actually i am paying some one $3 a disk to back up my collection, i do appreciate the concern, but you are wrong

Re: several mod issue help
Well if you're backing up Wii games, the aforementioned usb loader program can rip discs. It's literally as easy as loading the program, putting the disc in, and pressing a button. Very simple. Just try setting up the homebrew channel first, that's the hardest part, and even that's pretty simple. PM me if you need any help with it, I've done it a couple times.
