Plans for new Guilty Gear on PS3/360

Post by the7k »

http://kotaku.com/5436740/guilty-gear-g ... or-360-ps3

On one hand, I'm completely and utterly burnt out on Guilty Gear. Arc rehashed that shit more than Capcom did Street Fighter II.

On the other, I'm desperate for more 2D fighters. Despite the success of Street Fighter IV, no one new has taken the bait and decided to make their own imitators. So, I'll probably end up buying it regardless.

Just, please... do something new with it.

Eh, I don't know. I guess best case scenario they pull a Street Fighter 3. Worst case scenario we get Guilty Gear XX½ Accent² Core Plus 5 extreme.

Ever worse case scenario is that it might actually be another Overture-type game. While Kotaku says it won't, the statements made by Ohno didn't confirm a 2D fighter nor dismiss an Overture-type game.

Hm, that's true, but from context it sounds like the general idea floating around the interview was a fighter. I might just want to believe that, though.

No, that was Guilty Gear: Slow-mo Fighters.

I pray for this one. I love Arc fighters. With what they've done with Blazblue, I'm sure something good'll come out of the new GG entry.

I actually liked BlazBlue far too much to consider it another Guilty Gear. Granted, that could just be because I crave completely new games. Sometimes, I wish sequels were illegal.

It's the exact same game, only slower and with different characters. Surely you noticed this.
