wiiwaa- nintendo hates me personally.

Post by nickfil »

as i start to push 30, it becomes more and more apparent that I am not in the nintendo demographic anymore.

This is a pretty cool game, but hell if I'll ever play it. A blast for 7 year olds though.

That's a really great idea for young children, I'm doubtful that it actually works very well though. But if they can get it right, they could do all kinds of interesting things.

Just because Nintendo makes one game geared towards children doesn't mean you've totally grown out of there demographic. They obivously makes all kinds of games for all ages so just because they try something different that might appeal to kids, doesn't mean thats direction there taking whole company in.

Who knows, you just may be bopping a stuffed animal around yourself in a couple months time. Stranger things have happened, a couple of years ago I certainly didn't think I would've ever owned a console called a "Wii" and shaking a shaft like controller up and down either.

This generation is also filled with FPSs, so I doubt I'm anyone's demographic anymore.

yeah i haven't played my wii since mario galaxy. as much as it pisses me off that there is only a handful of games that i'll play, i really can't blame them for reaching that demographic. they are freakin money making geniuses!

From what little I read, Nintendo doesn't appear to be the publisher for this game.

I don't think Nintendo is money making geniuses , They have been running 3rd since N64 days,
I might be wrong but didn't PSX and PS2 each scored more money than the Wii? They also lived for 10 years, Do you think the Wii will live for 10 years? We are only 3 years into its lifetime and people already asking for better graphics and storage capacity.

But I think they hit it right this time with going back to making every one play video games, on the opposite of pushing videogame limits to those who are experts on the subject already.

This game is also very amazing, if I was 6 year old I would be banging my head in excitement. I have another thread about how Wii is a failure, because we do not see more of this stuff. No one is pushing the Wii to its limit, everyone is making crappy games hoping it will make a million in sales.

Also I think Nintendo has a demographic of more advanced players(Mario, Zelda,RE4, and Metroid people) which they are neglecting. Not Nintendo exactly but 3rd party developers. Survival Horror games can be a blast on the Wii, but no one is doing it right. Red Steel was amazing on paper, we ended up with half decent game, good in theory executed badly.

I'm imagining a suit that will rig together a ton of wiimotes and everything you do will happen ingame. It would be a really expensive and most likely terrible idea, but it's a start.
