Light gun games you never get tired of
Light gun games you never get tired of
I love playing House of the dead 1,2, and 4(haven't played the 3rd yet). I always play these games whenever I see them at a arcade or bowling alley. The House of the Dead series is awesome because you can go multiple paths depending on if you save people or choosing left or right, its so fun even though I played it so many times. I also like playing Area 51, Lethal Enforcers, and Time Crisis 2 & 4.
Systems: Sega Dreamcast(x2), Sega Genesis(x2), Sega Saturn, Sega CD, Genmobile (portable Genesis), FC Twin, PSX, PS2(x2), GBA, SP, Xbox 360, N64, Showcase Arcade

I am a HotD junkie myself. I see one, doesn't matter which, I have to find change and double gun it. I also loved Point Blank when i had it for my PS1 back when it came out. And for the embarassing thing...I love Hunting Games...
Edit: I also love fishing games...must be the Texas in me...

Time Crisis and Crisis Zone are my favorites. I love the cover mechanic.

How ironic - me and a friend of mine just started playing Time Crisis 4.
And yeah, I'll second MrPopo. A light gun game just needs a cover mechanic, in my opinion. Either that, or a really good way to avoid getting hit when action gets too chaotic.
I also loved playing Area 51. Still play it on the Saturn when I get some buddies over.

God damn it. There's a deluxe Time Crisis 2 dual cab on ebay for $600 BIN. But I have NO WHERE to put it, being in a single bedroom apartment. Even factoring in the freight shipping that's an awesome price.

Re: Light gun games you never get tired of
I think my favourite light gun game is time crisis 2 or 3. Probably 2 because it doesn't have all those gun selections. I think the extra guns just take away from the gameplay. Then again, I really like 3 too... But I don't like Crisis Zone, there's not a lot of thrills and features (eg. upside down, in a jet boat, in a car, in a cargo sliding down) and it just comes off as dull to me. The taking forever to kill the helicopters come to mind.

I play any Point Blank I come across, I love those games. I'm also a big fan of Time Crisis 2, don't really like any of the others in the series, apart from the first one, and I rarely play it in the arcades, just on PS1.
Not a massive fan of the HotD games, but I will play them if they're the only shooting game in the arcades. I didn't like 3 or 4 as much since you can't play both players at once.

I've played every HotD in the series, including 4, which I seriously hope get a console port sometime in the future. Virtua Cop is fun, too. Basically any Sega lightgun game.
