First off, totally wanted to brag. Just won an eBay auction for some GB/GBC games... best $10.50 I've spent in a long time:
Dragon Warrior I & II, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, Monster Rancher Battle Card Game, Pokemon Trading Card Game, Rugrats Movie, Kid Icarus, Kirby's Dream Land, Mole Mania, Mystical Ninja, Nobunaga's Ambition, Revenge of the Gator, Spider-Man 2, Tecmo Bowl, and Tetris.
A couple of games aren't so hot... but the majority are decent or better. Feels like a huge score to me.
But with those titles out of the way, what other mainstream games are still worth looking for? I've already got all the Super Mario Land and Wario Land games, Metroid II, Super Mario Deluxe, and Zelda Oracle of Ages. I've already seen the hidden gems article and am hoping to track down a handful of titles listed there.
Show a gamer some love and leave a recommendation about what popular games deserve to be played!

GB/GBC/GBA is my primary collecting medium...
you made a great score there. $10.50 is worth it for Kid Icarus, Dragon Warrior and Link's Awakening alone.

lock n chase is a pretty cool game. i really don't know how to explain it, but i guess it is along similar lines with pac man. you'll have to do a youtube it to see a video.
also zelda link's awakening.
the mega man games. they are a bit different than the nes versions.

he already got Link's Awakening. But co-sign on the MM ports. They are different. But the same. Y'dig?
Re: Starting to collect some GB/GBC games
Portable Mega Man remixes sound hot. Are they GB, or GBC, or maybe both? "The same but different" works for me when it means more of a good thing.
Thanks!

Thanks!
There's 5 of them. They are all GB. They mix up the robots from the originals games and make basically new games.
Re: Starting to collect some GB/GBC games
I would recommend the Dragon Warrior Monsters games. They're a different take on the monster catching genre where you get a party of three and monster breeding is pretty huge (not the pokemon "get better stats" style but instead you use it to get more monsters).

Noiseredux I would have never guessed you like MM games based off your avatar. Don't forget mega man xtreme. It does the same as the GB MM but with MMX on GBC (with limited saving).noiseredux wrote:final fight cd wrote:

Re: Starting to collect some GB/GBC games
I'm a huge portable freak (DS, PSP and GBA) but the only GBC games I chose to keep are Pokemon Crystal, Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. Top three indeed!
Re: Starting to collect some GB/GBC games
There was a pretty good list a while back...
ah found it.

Not as expansive as I remember, but mostly everything mainstream's covered.
