Wow, lack of PS3 games that appeal to me

Ok, so as I posted in the finds of the day thread, I just won a PS3. Eager to go pick up a game tomorrow, I read the 'empty wallet' thread again, then I looked over the list of PS3 reviews at Metacritic. Other than maybe Demon's Souls, there weren't any other games that I'm even remotely interested in picking up for PS3. All the games I am interested in I'd rather get them for PC or have them.

Seriously. A single maybe on the entire list. Someone tell me I'm dreaming and there isn't just FA that I want to play on the thing.

Well, what are you into? Got a favorite genre that you might want?

Since I enjoy my survival horror, I'm interested in picking up Dead Space and Condemned 2 at some point. There's also Siren: Blood Curse, and Resident Evil 5 if you're a fan of the series.

I also like fighters, so Virtua Fighter 5 and Soul Calibur IV were important buys for me on the 360, but I might go for a PS3 version since hopefully it won't fail like both of my 360s did. I don't have BlazBlue, Street Fighter IV, or King of Fighters XII either, and I might someday pick up Tekken 6 in an attempt to get into the system again, but I wouldn't pay $50 for any of them.

A few other games that have peaked my interest were Echochrome(bizarre looking puzzle game on the PSN) and Way of the Samurai 3. I'm also happily looking forward to 3D Dot Heroes and Yakuza 3. I'd like to try the Uncharted series to see what the fuss is all about as well, and since I own the first three Metal Gear Solids, I might as well go for the fourth some day.

Anything in that list that remotely interests you?

I got a PS3 recently for two reasons:

1) BluRay player
2) Street Fighter IV

I found "Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection" for $20 in a discount bin (even though I have most of the titles on the list, and a MegaDrive flash cart to cover the missing ones).

I'm also on the lookout for a few other fighting games (BlazBlue and Battle Fantasia).

Beyond that, 3D Dot Game Hero looks the business.

Absolutely stoked for Yakuza 3 and 3d Dot game heroes. Waiting for EB to let me preorder Yakuza 3.
And if you can't find a single game on the ps3 that interests you, than what games do you like? The PS3 has a pretty respectable selection of titles to choose from.

Its really hard to accept what you are saying, if you were talking about 360 then thats ok as most of the titles are shared with the PC.

Uncharted 1 & 2

I can't get into those. So utterly linear and pre-scripted. If I wanted to watch a movie, I would.

I'd second the Uncharted games they're fantastic, Valkyria Chronicles too.

I'll just list my collection. I'm sure you're already aware of all of these titles and this won't make a difference, but I certainly recommend all of them.

In addition to these, I just played the Ratchet and Clank demo and it seems pretty fun. Obviously Demon's Souls is supposed to be good as well. The only other games on the horizon for me right now are Modnation Racers and Red Dead Redemption, both of which look promising.
