Linux/OSX Google Chrome now in Beta

Post by GSZX1337 »

[I did a search and didn't find any threads on this]
I got an email about Google Chrome for Linux/OSX is now in Beta. I'm using it right now and it seems to work nicely. You can install new themes, drag tabs on to other monitors, and even use the newly debuted Chrome Extensions. Hell, for Linux users, you can have Chrome use your GTK+ (I don't know about QT) theme if you don't want to use one of the downloadable themes. The only thing I can do in Windows Chrome that I can't do in Linux Chrome is the middle mouse auto scroll. Haven't experienced any stability problems, but I've only been using it for about an hour. ;P

I'm pretty excited that Google's browser is coming along as well as it is. I'm sick of Firefox's constant lockups/crashes and Opera feels awkward and the look clashes with m Emerald theme. If everything goes as I hope Chrome might be the browser that's worth a shit in Ubuntu.
