Dec. Together Retro - Broken Sword

Post by HOW »

Hi there all,

Firstly BIG thanks to RacketBoy for the whole 'Together Retro' concept :D

I discovered it when the game was Marble Madness - then had PC issues re. emulation and vanished.....I've recently enjoyed reliving Smash TV - and had a look Wizard of Wor for the first time.

I'm very interested in participating in December's game - Broken Sword 1.

I've never played this - despite having had the original game for the PSX in the UK.....But I lent it...and never got it back....hence never playing.

Looked on our version of eBay over here in NZ....'TradeMe' and can see people looking for $NZ80.00 for a original PSX game!!!!! Is it rare or something?

What are my best options to play it. I have only a PC. I have experimented with DOSBox in the past with no success at all. I have managed to play Secret of Monkey Island and MI2 using Scumm before....Though that was on another PC - Scumm not on this laptop.

Is there an version playable out-of-box for XP PCs?
If not any tips on how to best get it running under emulation would be really gratefully received :)

PM me if you need to ;)

Thanks, Andy

Download this program:
http://www.scummvm.org/

then you can download the game for the pc(even if you have a mac) illegally and run it off the program.
If you bought the original game for the psx, I guess you paid for it.
