Dreamcast controller conversion!

Post by Whatever »

I just got done doing 2 of these conversions! They look awesome!
Simply putting the clear colored face plates on the black sega sports controller.
They match up with the console great! I did the blue and green so far. You can see the red one is not done yet. Look how bad the red looks compared to the other converted 2!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Great Idea, I will admit if I had the controllers I'd do this.

Heh I did something similar to this with my Saturn Controllers a few years ago... I swapped the buttons from the gray controller to the black one, and vice versa, so I ended up with a black controller with blue buttons which look pretty sweet.

BEAUTIFUL! Now if there was only a clean way to get the cords from shooting at your crotch while you hold them...

I also have a Sega Sports Dreamcast "black" and want to some how cleanly take off the white word "sports" without damaging the rest of the case. I am also against painting over the word. Any ideas on how to cleanly scratch that off?

I would think some coarse sandpaper would do the trick.

Just kidding

I have allot of white controllers, I may give that a shot. (rerouting the cord to the top)
That would not be too complicated at all. Would have the cable hole at the bottom still open though.

About the black sega consoles...I really doubt you can do anything about just the word "sports" that is written over the blue backround. Seems like you would need some kind weak paint thinner to remove it. Something that would not damage the original finish. The black sega consoles are still sexy with it the sports logo!
