OK, so I've mounted the right drives, and I've installed the game, so currently the screen looks like this.
C:\DAGGER>
And it tells me to type in DAGGER.EXE to run the game. However, upon doing so I get a prompt that reads:
ERROR: Looks like you inserted the wrong cd. Please insert your Daggerfall CD into your cdrom and try again.
Any pointers guys?

How about it's totally legal because Bethesda released it to be freely distributed to the public?RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Dont download games illegally?blackmagepwns wrote:OK, so I've mounted the right drives, and I've installed the game, so currently the screen looks like this.

While that was a nice gift, they didn't make it easy to play. There should be copy/paste directions on their website though.

Why should you be excused for being a smart ass and accusing someone of being a pirate?RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Excuse me for not knowing. No reason to get hostile.GSZX1337 wrote:Daggerfall's a free game now, smart ass.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:

Re: Another DOSBox Problem.
1st off I was only half serious writing that, I'm completely guilty of pirating games on occasion, even if I feel its wrong. Yes I know how self-contradicting that is.
Secondly, you are displaying your own inability to be polite and just say ok whatever, but continue to try and quarrel.
I'm done, carry on with the original point of discussion, I've said what I've come to say.

How are you mounting the CD image? Usually something like 'imgmount d game.iso -t iso' works.

Where does that come in?Hatta wrote:How are you mounting the CD image? Usually something like 'imgmount d game.iso -t iso' works.
Re: Another DOSBox Problem.
When you initially launch DOSBox you would want to run that command. That'll set up your CD drive. I have this line in my dosbos.conf at the end as part of the autoexec:
imgmount e D:\ISOs\Mech2Dos\MECH2.CUE -t iso -fs iso
That mounts my Mechwarrior 2 image as the E:\ drive in DOSBox.
imgmount e D:\ISOs\Mech2Dos\MECH2.CUE -t iso -fs iso
That mounts my Mechwarrior 2 image as the E:\ drive in DOSBox.
