I just bought Link to the Past for my SNES that I bought recently. I had the Game Boy Advance version (but its MIA) and the guide, and I was curious about how different the two versions of the game are. I would like to use the guide that I have for the GBA version for the maps and stuff.

I believe that they are nearly identical. If I remember correctly, the ice palace was a little different though.

I haven't really messed with the GBA version, but if the wikipedia page is to be believed, it is mostly sound changes. I imagine the guide will be just fine. You know, if you want to rob yourself of figuring things out.

I really can't think of anything to say to that : /Hobie-wan wrote:I imagine the guide will be just fine. You know, if you want to rob yourself of figuring things out.
All I do know is that I would probably gotten lost when I did play it a few years ago when it came out for GBA. That seems to happen with those kinda games, I get lost.

I believe there are extra/different noises and sounds (like Link's grunts) in the GBA version.

Aww, I was poking fun. I prefer to figure out things for myself, but I also have a good sense of direction. If you want to use maps, that's your business. I did put a smiley on there.Betamax001 wrote:I really can't think of anything to say to that : /Hobie-wan wrote:I imagine the guide will be just fine. Yeah, LTTP isn't nearly as bad as the NES Zelda one.latenitevacancy wrote: i always had a pretty easy time navigating in lttp, but i can definitely relate to that in the NES zelda. basically made the game unplayable for me.

You won't get lost as easy on the snes version because you'll be playing on a larger screen.
