Quick SF Zero 2 question

Post by Curlypaul »

If I go Arcade Mode -> Character Select ->pick some character -> I then get a little green box with some Japanese text in it. What are the choices?

I find it pretty bizarre that all the other option in the whole game are written in English except this one. I find it pretty bizarre that there is a mixture of Japanese and English in any game but I've long given up on trying to make sense of anything that comes out of Japan.

If I'm not mistaken, it's to choose between Manual and Auto modes. In Auto you have auto-block and can perform super moves pressing only by pressing a kick and a punch button at the same time.

Me too, and I've been here for 4 years!

BTW, the two choices are manual (green) and auto (red). Basically on auto, it will auto guard for you.

It's written in katakana, so check out a katakana chart on the internet and sound everything out... you might be surprised to learn that this, too, is in English with Japanese writing (most of it)!

PS. For run, I just played a round of Zero2 on the Saturn and then on the Playstation. The PS version looks like absolute rubbish in comparison to the Saturn. The difference really is noticeable.

Cool thanks for the info. Sounds like auto is a bit of a cheat to me.
