For the longest time I am trying to find boxes like these to organize my stuff.
I can't find them any where, so I decided to order them off the internet,
But for $30-40 a box, seems a huge rip-off! Its only a carton!
Is this what I am supposed to pay or am I getting rip-off here?
Where can I buy something similar but for a cheaper price?

Re: Boxes like these
It's a pack of 12, if you scroll down a little you'll see. That's less than $3 each. You'll probably have to fold them yourself BTW. I'm sure they must ship them flat.

$40 for cardboard?
Just go to office depot or a grocery store and ask for boxes.

Yeah, do that.BigTinz wrote:Just go to office depot or a grocery store and ask for boxes.
I currently work in a grocery store. Specifically the produce department. We have boxes just like the ones in your link. Go to your local grocery stores and ask if you can have the 5x6 tomato boxes (if they stock them). You can ask if they can save the boxes for you in the back when they're done. Chances are most employees can't be bothered with such a tedious task, so you might have to go to a few different stores before before you find some one willing to hold them for you.
But other than that, you can go to pretty much any department/grocery/drug store and get some free boxes. I recommend apple boxes, they're great. They're two piece boxes so you don't have to worry about flaps and whatnot and they're a good dimension. They're very strong, and if you don't use the second piece as a lid (and put one piece inside the other) they are even stronger.

for a pack of 12 then i guess they are worth it.Hatta wrote:It's a pack of 12, if you scroll down a little you'll see. That's less than $3 each. You'll probably have to fold them yourself BTW. I'm sure they must ship them flat.
Would any one recommend clear plastic boxes for storage?
something more like this:

I live in Canada, and you can find boxes like these EVERYWHERE. Staples and Wal-Mart carry them. They're called Bankers Boxes. They come in different designs too. They're still a bit pricey though. They average out to about 7 or 8 bucks each.

I guess it all depends on the dimensions of what you wanna store in it.... systems with controllers, games, box of cords, etc. Me personally I settled with the clear one so When I rummage in my knee wall I can see generally what is in each box before I open the lid. That is useful if you shift box contents around too. If you want a more semi-permanent storage then a cardboard box isn't bad.
Then there is the whole deal with if you are a collector, would you want an airtight environment to store your stuff in or not? Personally as long as the storage space is a semi constant environment with no real extremes in temperature/humidity, you should be good either way.

Yeah, but the issue is that kingmohd lives in Bahrain, so it's possible that he can't get these easily.sputnik wrote:I live in Canada, and you can find boxes like these EVERYWHERE.
