Quite a few people know the story of me trying to get a Sega SC3000H from my uni's archives. I was planning on nicking it but in the end it was given to me today. A lot of people seemed interested in having a look at it (Its basicly a Mark 1 with a built in keyboard) so here are some picks for the people.
Im not totally sure what I want to do with it at the moment, it will most likely be in storage until I decide, if anyones overtly interested feel free to send me a PM with and offer.

Re: I got a Sega SC3000H
Looks pretty cool. How are the games you got with it?
Re: I got a Sega SC3000H
Wow, awesome get but I wouldn't know what to do with it either.
Boy I tell you what, are those some god dang video games?
Re: I got a Sega SC3000H
It takes standard Mark 1 games (none of which I actually have) it also has a tape add on (Which again I dont have). The only Cart I have is a Basic Programming 3, I have fired it up and tested it and it works.
So its pretty much a Sega Mark 1, with a built in keyboard, and more RAM.
Edit: It also has 2 controller ports (same port as SMS, Atari, Genny)

Except that SMS and Genny controllers won't work properly on it, if it's like the SG-1000 (Mark I) or Mark III that I have. Genny/MD controllers on an SMS are fine, but not on a Mark III/SG-1000 (and presumably the 3000).emwearz wrote:Edit: It also has 2 controller ports (same port as SMS, Atari, Genny)

I am glad you were finally able to get it without risking your job. What is John Sands?

From my understanding they were an Electronics Company that disturbed the SC3000/3000H in Australia.
Cheers for the heads up Breetai, on the box it has a joystick pictured so I would imagine they are hard as shit to get a hold of.

If this page is correct its just a standard Atari/Commodore compatible single button joystick.emwearz wrote:From my understanding they were an Electronics Company that disturbed the SC3000/3000H in Australia.

*edit
The next page says the 2 fire buttons are separate. So an Atari stick would only give you button 1. But if you really wanted, it would be easy to make any stick into a 2 button one since Atari 2600 sticks are only switches, there are no actual electronics in them.

Re: I got a Sega SC3000H
cool as hell man wish I could afford to make a solid offer. I've got damn near every Sega produced "gaming console" hardware variant. This being a PC is kinda borderline something I consider a Sega console but damn it would be sick in the collection. All I need is an actual Sega Wondermega, Megajet, and that.

Re: I got a Sega SC3000H
Well im not really interested in cash for it, to be honest the only reason I said I would listen to some offers because it will sit in storage doing nothing magical for a very long time (I dont own any Mark1 games nor want to invest in any to be honest). I know there are some hardcore Sega fans here so I was just saying if anyone has anything there willing to trade feel free to send me a PM, im still figuring how much its valued at. As I wouldnt want to pay postage for it, the trade value is quite low when I say the buyed has to pay postage.
When I first saw it I thought it was nothing spesh until I saw it had the Mark 1 cartridge slot and the controller ports.
