Giratoo Man

Post by chupon »

So up till last night I had never been able to get past level 3 of Gitaroo man. Popped it in my PS3 and played it straight through without losing (getting B's and C's rating on all levels). I was kinda suprised. I thought the game was really hard but now maybe not? Anyone else care to comment on the games difficulty?
I must say though that the Legendary Songs - levels 5 and 9 I think made it worth it. Great music.

Should there be a rhythm and music genre in the forums? Now that I'm on this roll I think I might take down Space Channel 5 today.

I hit a few bumps and snags on the normal mode but the hard mode is nearly impossible! I don't think I could get passed the stage with the bees.

I know there are some rhythm game fans here, but I haven't seen the subject brought up too often. I know on other websites rhythm game boards have never been too successful (aside from bemanistyle, but that's an entire site devoted to rhythm games), but I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I play nearly all genres of games, but rhythm games and shooters (shmups) make up a pretty clear trend in my collection. With Beatmania Empress and DJ Hero just having been released, it wouldn't be a terrible time to get discussions going.

As for Gitaroo Man, I don't remember any particular difficulties in the regular game, though I may have had to repeat a song or two. It's been a while since I've played it. I can't remember if I ever went through the harder difficulty.

Ahaha oh goddddddd! Weasels is correct there were some of us trying to beat the flying-O stage on master mode and needless to say we all FAILED. Haha I haven't played since and I know that I'm rusty as hell but maybe I'll pop it back out and give it another go

I played a ripped version of gitaroo man and I thought it was incredible. I've been hunting down a copy ever since. Too expensive for me at the moment, although, a few days ago I found a mint copy of Gitaroo Man for the psp for only 4.99 at Eb. That was exciting but it's not the same on such a small screen. I remember having a lot of trouble with the stage 4 when the shark chases you because it speeds up and it then combined with the background video of him trying to gnaw your back end off I panic and lose track of the rhythm.

Get a PSP with TV out, or use RemoteJoy to output to PC

I wouldn't advise forcing TV out with a rhythm game. Lag is not a friend to rhythm games.
