The Simpsons-20th Anniversary

Post by Snickerd00dle »

In light of the Simpsons being around for 20 years I thought it would be interesting to see what everyones favorite episodes and games are(obviously relating to the Simpsons). I saw that there was a recent topic about Marge being in Playboy, I kind of wanted to keep this away from cartoon porn, and more about the show that I grew up loving and I know many others did as well.

I will start things off by saying my favorite episode is King-Size Homer, from season 7
and my favorite game would either be the orignal arcade game or The Simpsons game for 360

The Scorpio one is my favorite episode. Though my family and most of my friends all say Monorail.

I don't think I could name a favorite. Perhaps the one where Homer mistakes Burns for an alien? It has some of my favorite guest appearances.

You know, I've only ever seen like five or ten episodes of The Simpsons. Family Guy, Futurama and King Of The Hill were the animated sitcoms of my generation.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

i enjoy Futurame and King of the Hill to some extent, but Family Guy is uninspired and unoriginal in my opinion, I see it as recycled Simpsons jokes done poorly

Remember though, The Simpsons have literally done everything. Plus if I haven't seen it and it's on FG then it's new to me!

I will agree with 20 years under the belt, its hard to compete, its more the style of comedy that is used though, for example the flashbacks or fantasy thought bubbles used in Family Guy were taken from the Simpsons(not saying the Simpsons made flashbacks, just the way the jokes worked with the story)- if you find Family guy to be funny though, thats awesome, I would suggest however watching some early Simpsons seasons too! Some people don't like the new Simpsons episodes, I however still find them to be very funny

I've always been fond of "Bart Gets Famous," the one where Bart gets famous for saying "I didn't do it" on the Krusty show. But really anything from season five is pure gold in my opinion.
