Smash Bros., Surgery and Sipping Pepsi.

Post by Mod_Man_Extreme »

Today I went in for a procedure at the hospital (This procedure will remain nameless and undisclosed from me and from those that know please!) after which a series of events happened that were so magical tit could only have happened through the power of anesthetics and painkillers.

Here's how everything went down:
I tend to burn through meds. and anesthetic at a much higher rate than most, so after being practically slammed under I woke up to this.

No joke, here I am sitting in the recovery room in a daze (I apparently asked if they could bring me the Gamecube kiosk with Smash Bros. to the recovery room :P . (The other GS across town from mine donated their old Gamecube kiosk to my hospital's OR waiting room.)) and for about an hour waiting for the anesthetic to wear off (Apparently this usually takes 20 mins. tops for most patients) I pined for it like a kid at X-Mas.

It was hilarious to also finally find out why I had a can of Pepsi in my hand when I fully regained my coherence; apparently I ranted on about how awesome the Gamecube in the waiting room was, that I sold one of the nurses on one for her son after which she asked me if I wanted a Pepsi, to which I responded in what was apparently a loud yell "I only drink Pepsi Free like, Marty Mc. Fly!".

I'm not kidding you, I literally ranted on about this stuff and the GC's greatness for like 45mins. as the anesthetic steadily wore off; I have some sort of a penchant to always demand the GC kiosk and whatever game is in it whenever I get out of surgery or procedures and can't think straight given the fact that I usually play in the waiting room for an hour or so while waiting for the procedures to start. It's made me somewhat of a celebrity with the hospital staff though, plus it's some of the best and most effective impromptu salesmanship I've ever performed and I don't even remember half of it!

DEAD SERIOUS, no jokes, only drug induced craziness of the highest order.

Now if only I can remember what else happened in the half hour or so I completely lost that my mother and the nurse recounted the events which had transpired.

Yup, I'm apparently a Nintendo salesman that drives a DeLorean and enjoys his soft drinks when mentally incapacitated!

Dude...
your awesome lol.

I've had anesthetics before (when I broke my elbow into 3 or so pieces when I was 9), appearantly, I kept rambling about my dead cat.

I wish I could be as awesome as you, you ramble about games, BTTF, and Pepsi. I talk about dead cats...

When I woke from surgery I started a conversation about Apocalyps now with the docter and nursing staff. Trouble was, I'd never seen the movie before. It must have been a rubbish conversation.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.
